How to Prep Your Site for a Restroom Trailer Delivery: A Southwest Ohio Checklist
Published October 29, 2026
A smooth restroom trailer delivery starts before our truck ever pulls in. Whether you're hosting a barn wedding outside Hamilton, a backyard graduation party in Marysville, or a festival anywhere in southwest Ohio, a little prep makes drop-off quick and safe, and makes sure everything works the moment your guests arrive. Here's what we ask every customer to check before delivery day.
Know how much room we need
The truck and trailer together are approximately 45 feet long. That's longer than most people picture, so think about the whole route from the road to the spot where you want the trailer. Check for tight turns, narrow gates, parked cars, mailboxes, fences, and soft or muddy ground that a heavy rig could sink into. If there's a gate, measure it ahead of time and plan to have it open when we arrive. Move any cars, tents or decorations out of the path until the trailer is in place.
Look up: trees are the biggest obstacle
Our trailers are pretty tall, roughly 12 to 12 and a half feet. The biggest obstacle we run into when dropping off trailers is usually overhanging trees and tree limbs that can scrape the side and top of the trailers. Before delivery day, make sure everything is trimmed up so the trailer can get through easily to the spot you want it located. Walk the whole path and look up, not just down: low branches over a driveway or lane, and limbs hanging over the setup spot, are the usual trouble. Check power lines, porch roofs and barn overhangs too.
Your restroom trailer delivery spot: relatively flat and level
The spot where the trailer will be located needs to be relatively flat and level. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it should be close. If the ground is way off level, it can lead to problems with the steps, where the steps will be too much of a step up and could cause a safety concern for your guests. Firm grass, gravel or pavement all work well. Keep the spot a reasonable walk from the main event area, and close to your water and power if you can.
Have the water hose hooked up and ready
If you're going to supply water, have the hose hooked up and ready so it can be hooked to the unit when the trailer first arrives. That way we can make sure all the plumbing works before we leave. Use a drinking-water-safe hose if you can, make sure it's long enough to reach the trailer without stretching, and turn the spigot on to check that it flows. If you can't supply water, just let us know ahead of time when you request your quote.
Have the extension cord out and ready to go
It's the same for electric. Have the extension cord out and ready to go so everything can be hooked up and checked to make sure it works properly before we leave. Use a heavy-duty outdoor cord that reaches the trailer, and plug it into an outlet that isn't shared with big loads like a DJ, caterers' warmers or bounce houses. If there's no power near the spot, ask us about a generator when you request your quote.
Tell us about anything unusual
Every property is different. If your venue has a long gravel lane, a steep hill, a low bridge, a soft field after rain, or a tight spot behind a barn, tell us when you book. A few photos of the path and the spot you'd like help us plan the best approach, so delivery day has fewer surprises. Our FAQ page answers more common setup questions, and we're always glad to talk it through.
Quick checklist before delivery day
- Measure the route: about 45 feet of truck and trailer has to get in and turn around.
- Trim overhanging trees and limbs along the path and above the spot (the trailer is about 12 to 12.5 feet tall).
- Make sure the spot is relatively flat and level, because ground that's way off level makes the steps too much of a step up.
- Have the water hose hooked up and ready if you're supplying water.
- Have the extension cord out and ready to go.
- Move cars, tents and decor out of the path, and open the gates.
- Tell us about hills, soft ground or tight turns ahead of time.
